Many of us experience inner core dysfunction without knowing it. Hip pain, ankle sprains, knee pain, back pain and incontinence may all be related to or cause inner core dysfunction. Frank injuries, preexisting weakness, pregnancy, childbirth, or even the repetitive trauma of sitting at a desk or carrying your kids can lead to compensatory patterns of muscle activation within the inner core. This can result in more injury, pain, and a decreased ability to do the things you love.
